Five generations removed from her ancestor, Henry Blair, Sharon Blair Tolbert and her husband, Byron Tolbert hope to revive the property into a livable, usable space. The Tolbert’s obtained the remaining 9 acres of the original 365-acre farm tract property in September 2004.

Their multifaceted goal for the farm’s future includes restoration and maintenance of the elements that make it a rare example of period architecture and early Watauga County agricultural history. The Tolbert’s hope that during and after restoration, the farm can once again provide a place which will be enjoyed by everyone for community activities, learning and leisure.
